Hi everyone, sorry this is so late. Our guidelines for this weeks game where to create a game in which the only props used where the people playing the game. I personally think this was a great way to show how easily a game can be created with having to depend on physical object or technology.

This game plays off of snake. The goal of the game is for the leader (who’s eyes are closed during all the game) to capture as many people with the help of the person guiding him/her. There where two teams. Once you where captured you would place your arms on the shoulder of the person guiding the leader. Eventually a snake chain was created. At one point in the game one snake captured all the chain members from the other snake.

This game was called Cubs and Bears. There where two teams both lined up parallel to each other. One team would initiate the game by choosing a member who will walk to other side and tag a cub. Once he tags a cub he must run to the other before the cub can tag him. If the he/she is tagged by the cub then that person must become a part of the other team.

1st of May

So this is coming in late but hey it happens. This is actually a report on the games during the First week of May. Don't know the names but I've got the rules, So for now they will have the pseudo-names that I remember them by. Check em out , Play em with friends and have a good time.

Red Stop, Green Roll

This game is an interesting twist on the old school favorite Red Light Green Light. For those of you who don't know what that is, you have one person be the stoplight and the other players are the "cars" if you will. The cars wait at one end of the field and their goal is to cross the finish line first. However they can only move when the stoplight is green. The player who is the stoplight yells the color of the current light. If green the players race to the finish line and if red the players must stop. If a player is caught moving during a red light that player must return to the starting line.

But in this game the modification is that the racers must roll their assigned teammate across the finish line. This little tweak made for some hilarious moments and interesting conversations about clothing stains. Throw in some hills like we did during this play test and hilarity will ensue. I'll admit it, I chumped out cause I didn't want to get my clothes grassy (I can't find a good detergent to remove grass stains).

Cubs and Bears

This one was interesting. Cubs and Bears if is the name if I remember correctly. The game played kinda like duck duck goose...but with BEARS! So in this the players are split into two teams and stand on opposing sides of the field facing away from each other. A team is selected to go first and  when this happens that team will send over a person (the ranger) to the other team's side.

That person will then select someone duck duck goose style, except they say cub cub cub cub BEAR!

And then the selected bear would chase the ranger trying to tag him before the ranger could return to it's side. If the chosen bear is successfully, the play ranger joins their team. And the cycle repeats with the other team until one team has all the bears. This was a fun and refreshing game, was great to actually have to sprint for once in my 4 years of college, made me realize how outta shape I was.

So hopefully you take some of these games and start playing them, we will still be around for another 3 weeks making awesome games. So stay posted.
